Ingredients
- brioche burger buns
- butter
- lean ground beef patties, 3/4-inch thick
- avocado oil
- slices cheddar cheese
- white onion, sliced
- ketchup
- mayonnaise
- tomato slices
- Bobbi's Cocina Da Bomb Burger seasoning
- iceberg lettuce, for serving
Instructions
- In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, add the avocado oil and sliced onions. Cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.
- Season the burger patties on both sides with the Da Bomb Burger seasoning. Place the seasoned patties on the skillet and cook about 5 minutes per side.
- Once the patties are done, place a slice of cheese over each hot patty to let it slightly melt.
- To assemble: mix together the mayo and ketchup in a small bowl to make the burger sauce, and set aside.
- On a separate pan over medium heat, add the butter and toast the brioche buns cut-side down for about 1 minute, until slightly golden brown.
- Spread about 1 Tbsp of the ketchup-mayo mixture on both sides of the toasted brioche buns.
- Layer the iceberg lettuce, 2 slices of tomato, the burger patty with cheese, and the sautéed onions onto the bun. Enjoy!
Cooking Tip: Cook the onions first and set them aside before starting the patties — that way the skillet is free to sear the burgers hard and hot without the onions steaming or burning underneath them.
